event for truckers:
the Orlando
Truckers’ Conference
(“OTC”). The first
OTC will be held at
the Orange County
Convention Center (“OCCC”)
in Orlando, Florida
on February 16-18,
2007. The OTC is
positioned to be a
major, annual
Industry event in
the Southeast. |

Although numerous
Industry “truck
shows” are offered
across the United
States, the OTC is
the first of its
kind and is geared
toward helping
company drivers and
owner-operators
learn how to make
more money in
trucking. The OTC
will offer
professional
development seminars
to registered
attendees such as
“How to Find
Freight” and “How to
Develop Freight
Rates”. The OTC will
offer opportunities
for drivers to meet
with up to 100
exhibitors that
provide products and
services of interest
to truckers. The
exhibition hall will
feature
refreshments, live
entertainment,
raffles, and
give-a-ways. A
special Saturday
evening concert by
the “Road Hammers”
will be offered at
no additional charge
to CDL-holders who
pre-register on a
“first come, first
serve” basis
(tickets are limited
so truckers should
pre-register early).
On Friday, February
16th, the OTC will
offer
fee-for-service,
mandatory
entry-level driver
training &
reasonable suspicion
supervisor training.

Exhibitor move-in
will also take place
on Friday, followed
by an evening social
event for
exhibitors. The OCCC
exhibition hall will
then be open to the
public on Saturday,
February 17th, from
9:00 a.m. to 6 p.m.
and Sunday, February
18th, from 9:00 a.m.
to 5 p.m. Admission
to the exhibition
hall is $10 per
person (kids under
18 free). All
registrants will
receive discounts to
various Orlando area
attractions, such as
Disney, Universal
Studios, and Sea
World, as well as
discounted
accommodations at
the Rosen Plaza and
The Days Inn
Convention Center.
